Preface

“A scribe, who had been listening to their discussion and saw that Jesus was answering them well, approached and asked Him, “Which of the commandments is the most important?”.

Jesus replied: “The most important thing is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: ’You shall love your neighbor as yourself.‘ There is no greater commandment than these.’

“You have spoken well, Teacher,” the scribe said to Jesus. “You have spoken the truth when you said, ‘God is one and there is no other. To love God with all one's heart, with all one's understanding and with all one's strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.’

When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said, “You are not far from the kingdom of God. After that no one dared to ask him any more questions.” (Mar. 12:28-34)

The foundation of our lives is to love God and to love our neighbors (everyone around us). When we come before God in body, mind and heart, we worship in spirit and in truth, as Jesus said, “worshipping in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23).

As a matter of fact, John, the disciple of Christ, who said, “He who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen” (1 John 4:20), conveyed to us what the essence of our lives should be.

It is important to emphasize that these are not rules, even if we have mentioned the basic order of prayer in our daily prayer. Even if it is incomplete or incorrect, we can continue to pray, remembering that we can do it more regularly over time. The important thing is to spend time with the LORD in His presence and to hear His voice. To give voice to the Holy Spirit within us and to act according to His leading.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Lord God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen!

Morning Prayer

The LORD's love never fails, His mercy never ends;
They are refreshed every morning, your loyalty is great.
(Lamentations 3:22-23)

Standing in Peace

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!

(saying the morning prayer)r. Humble yourself before the Lord
we give thanks for the opportunity to be in your presence).

You save the humble and bow down the head of the proud.”
(Ps. 18:27)

Bible Reading

    • It is important to start each day by reading a passage from the Bible.
    • We need to hear the voice of the LORD before we pray.
(One of the passages from the Daily Reading can be read every day)
    • When you read the Bible it is important to be in a quiet place where no one will disturb you.
    • After reading the passage, we try to answer these 3 questions.
    • Read the passage 1-2 times and try to answer the following questions.

1.  What do I learn about God in this passage?

2.  What lessons can I learn for myself from the experiences of the people mentioned in this passage?

3.  What can I apply what I have learned in this passage to my life today?

For the daily verse reading, you can take turns reading from the Bread of Life section.

Kneeling

(The prayer “Our Father who art in heaven”, which Jesus Christ taught to his disciples, is recited while kneeling with open hands).

“Our Father who art in heaven,
          Hallowed be thy name.

          Let your sovereignty come.
          Like in the sky,
Thy will be done on earth.

Give us today our daily bread.
Those who have committed crimes against us

           As we forgive,
          Forgive us our trespasses.

          Don't let us be tempted.
Deliver us from the evil one.”

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen!

Prostration

- Prostration, which is the culmination of our humility before God, shows that we have “surrendered to God”. When we prostrate ourselves, we can now offer everything that is in our hearts to our Father in sincerity. “But sincerely the hour is coming when worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. That hour is now. And the Father is looking for such worshippers.”  (John 4:23)

-“…Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” (Matthew 6:8), we can pour out our hearts and make our requests before our Father.

-We can finish our prayer by standing up and saying this.

Praise be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Evening Prayer

Like incense rising before my prayer,
May my offering be accepted as an evening offering!

With gratitude at their door,
Enter their courtyards with praise!
Give thanks to Him, praise His name!
(Ps. 100:4, 141:2)

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!

Daily Observation

We need to review our day and remember what kind of day we have had.

    • What did I do today?
    • Did I apply what I heard from the LORD in the morning to my life?
    • Did anything happen today for which I am grateful or that bothered me?

Prayer for Others

The Lord values our connection with others as much as He values our connection with Him. We can make a prayer list and keep a day-by-day list of people we pray for regularly.

    • Who did I spend time with today?
    • How can I pray for the people I spend time with today?
    • How can I pray for people on my prayer list?

“Do not worry at all; your wishes in every matter,
Give thanks to God in prayer and supplication.”
(Flp 4:6)

Psalm Reading

    • You can choose the psalms as the Lord directs, either in order or in the way you want to read them that day.
    • Stand up and recite a psalm aloud (or inwardly), in melody (or poetry), with the awareness that you are in the presence of the LORD.
    • 1 time before you start reading from the psalm “Haleluya! To the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit after reciting the psalm 3 times “Haleluya!” (3 times between each psalm if you want to read several psalms. Haleluya you can say.)
